David & Beverly Varner are no strangers to the children in Guatemala. Through their non-profit organization His Hands International, they have helped hundreds of children in Guatemala. They have provided everything from basic medical supplies, shoes, clothing, school supplies, to tuition for poor and needy children.
Now they are raising money to build a technologically advanced medical clinic and school. The clinic will have technology that will connect the clinic with teaching universities around the globe. This technology will bring a level of medical care never seen in these parts. Their goal is to stop unnecessary illnesses due to many factors ranging from a lack of proper sanitation, malnutrition, vitamins for pregnant women and children, and immunizations. Many illnesses can be prevented through education and immunization.
“Our center will help save lives”, said David, “and will benefit the thousands of children in the mountains surrounding us. We chose our location for maximum impact and efficiency”. The Varner’s have purchased land about 45 minutes from Guatemala City high in the mountains at an elevation of 7500′ above sea level. They have been using this land for the past 2 years as a distribution point.
They are looking for other individuals and organizations to donate money to help build the clinic and school. If you would like to make an online donation, you can do so several ways: www.hishands.org or http://www.gofundme.com/6d9wfw
